Offered here is a wonderful PINT historical flask, this is the GI-40C (SCARCE mold), embossed “THE FATHER OF HIS COUNTRY” / Bust of Washington – “GEN. TAYLOR NEVER SURRENDERS” / Bust of Taylor. This was made at the Dyottville Glass Works, Philadelphia, 1840s. It is a rich medium blue-green with a slight emerald tone, perfectly sheared top and an open pontil scarred base. Very strong embossing, nice color, outstanding condition! There is a tiny spot or two of wear on the Taylor side. A pretty example!
