Description
Here is a decorative “bitters-type” bottle, embossed “DUNBAR & CO. – WORM WOOD / CORDIAL – BOSTON”, Northeast, 1860-70s. This aquamarine square has roped corners, fancy arched shoulders, 3 with small pearls or dots, an applied sloping collar and a smooth base. These are VERY RARE with only a small handful known to exist. A beautiful, ornate, and eye-appealing mold considered by many to be for medicinal purposes. The mold is nearly identical to both the National Tonic Bitters and Russian Imperial Tonic Bitters, possibly utilizing the same mold! A sparkling MINT example, that is rarely available!
