SOLD! QUART GIII-2 Olive Green Decanter!

Certainly one of my favorite molds, this exquisite Early American decanter was made from the GIII-2 Blown Three Mold, and has been attributed to the Mount Vernon Glass Factory, 1820s. It is such an elegant and stunning design, and the embossing is nice and strong on this one! Here is the “typical” olive green MVG glass, with some bubbles and impurities. The top seems a bit primitive with an extra wide flared out rim, but just perfect! Superb piece… just one bubble (pictured) that has an opening in the cover glass, very minor! Here is a fabulous piece of early American glass in a timeless design!! This really is a bargain, especially for the large QUART sized example.
