Description
Here is a rather important pictorial and historical flask, representing Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Dyott, made at the Kensington Glass Works, 1820s. This is an honest “blue chip” American historical flask, with some important embossing, “BENJAMIN FRANKLIN” / Bust of Franklin – “WHERE LIBERTY DWELLS – THERE IS MY COUNTRY” – “T.W. DYOTT, M.D.” / Bust of Dyott – “KENSINGTON GLASS WORKS, PHILADELPHIA”. Further, this one is in a particularly rare color, being dark amber, almost black as coal! The impression is outstanding!! Condition is near mint, with an in manufacture pontil chip extending over the base edge. A GREAT flask, at a very fair price! Colored examples of this flask can reach premiums of $15-20,000… here is an opportunity!
